Happy New Year everyone! I cannot believe that it’s already 2012, can you!? I guess my parents were right, as you get older, time goes by even faster. I guess I should cherish my time a little more each day before it escapes me entirely. Anyway, let’s get on with the goals for 2012!
Goals for 2012
This site is still basically brand new, but I have some big plans for 2012!
- Be on the first page of Google for the searched phrase, “Passive Income”, and “Creating a Passive Income”
- Gain 250 subscribers
- Maintain a Page Rank of 3
- Have 40,000 visits to this site in 2012
- Earn $5,000 from this site alone
Those are the big five goals! I’ll no-doubt be making smaller, more manageable goals along the way, but by the end of 2012, I’ll hopefully have a check-mark next to each of these goals!

You are right, those are big goals for 2012. Plus parents are usually right about lots of things because they have been there, done that.
I can’t wait to tackle my goals for 2012! There’s just something about working towards a goal that lights a fire under my butt!
I respect your #1 keyword ranking goal. If you work hard and get close to that, the other goals should fall into place pretty easily. If I had focused on keywords early on (instead of at the tail end), growth would have been a lot easier.
Thanks for the inlcude!
Very true. I didn’t focus too much on keywords with my other site either. I’m glad I get a second chance. I think I’m doing pretty good so far!
Thanks for the links, I really appreciate it. Time goes faster as you get older because you realize time is finite. Have a Happy and healthy New Year.
Very true. It’s odd, because 40 year olds used to seem like grandparents to me. Now they remind me of big kids.
I think I’m always going to act like I’m 18 – life’s more fun that way.
40-year-olds are just big kids! This year is the year I go from “little” kid to “big” kid and I’m excited about it. When I was 20-something, I never thought I’d say that about turning 40.
That’s awesome that you still think of yourself as a kid! I’m going to be right there with ya!
Thanks for including me!
Best of luck with all of your goals in 2012
Thanks! It’ll take quite a lot of work, but it’s going to be fun!
Happy New Year! Thanks for the link! I wish best of luck in 2012.
No problem! Keep pumping out those awesome articles! I wish the best of luck to you too in 2012!
Those are very doable goals! Good luck with the New Year and thanks for including my link in your round-up. Happy New Year!
I thought that goals were doable too! I won’t have a ton of time to focus on them, but as long as I keep writing quality content, they should take care of themselves.
Wish you the very best Derek!
Thanks for the mention and a very happy new year to you!
You too MoneyCone! I hope you have a great 2012!
Thanks for the mention! Good luck with all your goals!
Thanks Crista! Do you have any big goals for 2012?
Happy New Year, Derek, and best of luck with the websites! I think you have some good niches here.
Thanks for the encouragement FG! Best wishes to you and your endeavors as well!
That page one ranking is going to be really tough, especially since most people targeting it know about SEO. However, nothing is impossible – especially if some of the top 10 have gotten complacent.
I wish you well!
It will be really tough, but I’ve got a whole year to get there, and if I do, I’ll have a seriously profitable blog!
Wish you the very best with your 2012 goals and Happy new year.
I wish you the best too! 2012 is going to be awesome!
